The Mary Peters Trust is a charitable Trust established by the late Dr John Moore to commemorate Mary Peter's outstanding Olympic Gold Medal win. Its purpose is to provide that essential link between those who wish to assist Ulster sport and those individuals with the unique combination of ability and dedication who, with help, can achieve success.

The Trust is the only Province-wide organisation which can assess sporting need and provide help to individuals from all recognized sports. It works alongside the Sport NI and, with the assistance of the Governing Bodies of Sport, makes financial awards towards approved out-of-pocket expenses.

Awards are made under various categories, details of which are contained in Award Categories.
